Guild Challenge for 2011 Quilt Show

At our birthday dinner we received our challenge for next year’s quilt show…if you haven’t received yours, contact JOY.

Birthday Dinner Coming Up!

Just a reminder that our birthday dinner is this coming Wednesday,  July 21, 6:30 pm at the Montana Rib and Chop House in Meadville

Don’t forget to bring your red, white and/or blue FQs; 5 fav recipes for our booklet; Show and Tell; and your appetites!

Looking forward to an evening of celebration and fun!  See you there.

Fun Night is coming up! May 19th

We will be making Facial Tissue Pockets and supplies needed are:

6” X 24” piece of fabric

6” X 24” piece of fusible interfacing

6” X 24” Ruler (you can use smaller ones if necessary)

Marking pencil or chalk (that you can see on the fusible interfacing)

sewing machine (we can share)

snap set (I will have some bright colored ones…)

2010 Quilt Show

The 2010 Quilt Show is now over – we can breathe a deep sigh of relief.

2010 Honoree Pat

Pat was our guild member honoree and she had some lovely quilts to show. (sorry about the fuzzy picture, the photographer was really tired!).

The 119 quilts were beautiful and there was a wide variety of styles to enjoy. Now we are excited to start new quilts.

Come on out next year for our “Holidays” Quilt Show!

QUILT SHOW!

don’t forget to bring your quilts to Homespun Treasures on Wednesday evening or Thursday (before 4) for the quilt show next weekend!

Join in the fun on the 24th and 25th at Cochranton High School as we put on the “When Life Gives You Scraps…” Quilt show.

Meeting Night Change!

Our next meeting will be on MONDAY the FIFTH of April. Please remember to rearrange your calendar as this is the only meeting in April and the Quilt Show will be the main agenda item.

Reminders:

We will complete the Crazy Patch ribbons for the show. If you do not have a machine that does decorative stitches, we will decorate them tonight. If you need help in completing the ribbons, we will do that also.

Don’t forget your green FQs for the FQ Lotto drawing tonight.

Raffle Quilt for 2010!

We have a picture of the top! This scrappy quilt is beautiful and will look great on the bed
